Since 2009, Bark Avenue Daycamp has offered various services to our customers and their furry family members, including doggy day camp, enrichment services, boarding, training, and grooming. We are seeking motivated dog lovers to join our team.

Bark Avenue Daycamp is a member of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association and the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce. We are an evaluator with Canine Good Citiizen and partner with PackPro Training. 

This is a fast-paced, team-based environment where communication, awareness, and positivity are critical to our success.  

Schedule/Location:

  • We are seeking part-time and full-time candidates. We promote from within, most of our leadership roles are full-time. 
  • Our operating hours are weekdays from 6am to 9pm and weekends from 7am to 9pm.
  • Shifts normally run 6 to 8 hours.
  • The daytime shift is 6am - 2pm, and the evening shift is 2pm - 8pm. 
  • Additional earnings opportunities may be available outside of the regular schedule. 
  • Staff must be available during peak periods such as Thanksgiving and Winter Break. 
  • We are located at 1540 Hecht Drive in Bartlett, IL 60103.

The responsibilities:

  • Supervising dogs in the daycare to ensure engaging and enriching play at all times.
  • Provide care to our dogs boarding at our facility.
  • Administer feedings and medications based on each dog's daily schedule.
  • Clean our play areas, boarding space, and customer-facing spaces.
  • Provide patience and empathy to all of the dogs in our care.
  • Build your knowledge base on dog behavior, dog breeds, dog training, and pet first aid.
  • Keep our staff and dogs safe by providing vigilance and awareness. 
Skills:

  • Follows company dress code guidelines for professional and safety standards.

  • Above average multi-tasker and organizational skills.
  • Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn are just as important.
